Sharon Cuneta ‘baby’ ang turing sa Mindanao, bumalik sa kampo ng MILF

“BABY” kung ituring ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta ang Mindanao dahil bata pa lamang siya ay mahal na mahal na niya ang naturang bahagi ng Pilipinas.
Tinawag pa nga niyang “one of the highlights of my life” ang pagbisita sa Moro Islamic Liberation Front’s (MILF) Camp Darapanan sa Sultan Kudarat at makilala ang mga leader at community members doon.
Nitong nagdaang May 2, muli ngang nagtungo sa Mindanao si Ate Shawie kasama ang asawang senatorial candidate na si Kiko Pangilinan kung saan tinanggap nila ang formal endorsement mula sa United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), ang official political party ng MILF.
“When I say I love Mindanao, I do not say it very lightly. It has been in my heart since I was little. That’s why it was so important for me to come here today. Meeting the heads of the MILF, to me, is one of the highlights of my life,” ang sabi ng actress-singer.

Patuloy pa ni Mega, “Maya’t maya po, kinukulit ko si Kiko and it’s been 20 plus years, napakarami pong problema sa Maynila at buong Pilipinas. But it has always been in my heart, my baby, I would always tell him that, ‘My baby, what about my baby?’”
Kuwento pa ni Sharon, ang pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga niya sa napakayamang kultura ng Muslim ay nagsimula noon pang bata siya kaya naman nang manalong senador si Kiko noong 2021 ay talagang ni-request niyang mabigyan siya lahat ng material about Mindanao.
Kasunod nito, naglunsad nga ang Megastar ng fundraiser para sa Marawi inoong 2018. “I have to let you know, we are all brothers and sisters, my love for you is real,“ sey ni Sharon.
Sinuportahan din ni Kiko ang Bangsamoro Organic Act sa huling tatlong taon niya sa Senado.
The former senator was also part of the bicameral conference committee to ensure that the key provisions that would give meaning to the autonomy and what the Bangsamoro struggle is all about will not get lost in the final version of the law.
