Supalpal: Baste Duterte basag kay PNP Chief Nicolas Torre, na-'back to you'

SINUPALPAL ni bagong Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III si Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.

Na-“back to you” ang anak ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nang kuwestiyunin nito ang pagkakatalaga kay Torre bilang bagong pinuno ng PNP.

Matapang na binatikos ni Mayor Baste si Torre sa naging speech nito sa The Hague, Netherlands. Sinabi nitong hindi raw ibinase sa merito ang pagkakahirang sa general bilang hepe ng PNP.

“You have a Chief PNP na tatlong ranggo ang tinalunan para maging Chief PNP, it’s because this is not a merit-based promotion. Pabor-pabor based promotion ito,” ang patutsada ni Baste.

Niresbakan naman ni Torre si Baste nang makausap siya ng media kahapon, June 4. Sinupalpal nga niya ang mayor ng Davao.


“Rewind-rewind lang ng konti sa termino ng tatay niya kung sino ang unang Chief PNP. Ano ranggo ng unang Chief PNP at anong ranggo ko bago ako naging Chief PNP? It goes back to him.

“The first Chief PNP of his father is a one-star na naging automatic four-star (general). Did he question that?” ang bwelta ni Torre sa anak ni Digong.

Kung matatandaan, si Sen. Bato dela Rosa ang unang PNP Chief na naitalaga sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Si Sen. Bato ang naatasan noon na magpatupad ng “war on drugs” o mas kilala sa tawag na “Oplan Tokhang” kung saan maraming napatay na umano’y mga drug dealer at adik.
