Sulat ni Frankie Pangilinan sa mga mayor pinusuan, proud na proud kay Kiko

MARAMING na-touch sa naging panawagan ni Frankie Pangilinan sa lahat ng mayor sa bansa na suportahan ang kandidatura ng kanyang amang si Kiko Pangilinan.

Mismong ang nanay ni Frankie na si Sharon Cuneta ang nag-post ng sulat ng kanyang anak sa social media kung saan ibinandera nga ng dalaga sa publiko ang mga magagandang katangian ng ama.

Ang caption dito ni Sharon, “Our dearest Kakie paused from completing all her graduation requirements and wrote this heartfelt letter for all the Mayors in our country to ask for their help for her Daddy.

“We are so blessed with the most loving, supportive children who are as devoted to us as we are to them! Thank you, Baba. We love you so very much.”

Nakasaad sa handwritten letter ni Frankie ang kanyang emosyonal na pakiusap sa mga mayor na sana’y suportahan ng mga ito ang pagtakbong senador ni Kiko.

Aniya, hindi lamang isang politician ang kanyang tatay, kundi isa ring “humble, hands-on dad” na hindi deserve ang mga natatanggap na paninira mula sa ilang grupo.

“Our family has stood by helplessly for several years now as the smear campaigns have persisted against him.

“The misrepresentations of his character are as heartbreaking as they are untrue—My father is a deeply humble, consistent man who keeps decades-old T-shirts and listens to disco music and makes it a point to attend all our sport meets, recitals, parent- teacher conferences,” bahagi ng sulat ni Frankie.

Sey pa ni Frankie, more than 20 years nang naglilingkod sa mga Filipino ang ama, “and continues to demonstrate honesty and integrity while possessing the experience, qualifications and professional accomplishments.”

Patuloy pa niya, “We do not have a billion-peso budget to push for him as loudly as we ought to—as loudly as he deserves.

“We understand that resources are tight, and we cannot offer much in return, but should we succeed, you now have a most assured promise that we will support your local programs and whatever else you may need in the years to come.

“He has worked quietly and tirelessly for years in pursuit of our agricultural development. Our agricultural sector is the backbone of all our systems, our national economy, our entire lives.

“Please help us carry this dream forward—for the future of our meal tables, for the dignity and protection of our farmers and fisherfolk and for all other Filipinos who still believe in true and compassionate leadership,” ang bahagi pa ng sulat ni Frankie.

“I am reaching out to you as a young Filipino who still believes in our country’s fundamental kindness. Our potential for true strength and stability.

“I know that what is easy is not always right, and that often the difficult route must be taken in order to arrive at something good,” aniya pa.

Kasunod nga nito ay pinuri ng netizens ang singer na anak nina Mega at Kiko dahil kahit nasa ibang bansa ay talagang gumagawa pa rin ito ng paraan para makatulong sa kampanya ng ama.
